Flying Books & a live set from Bon Iver

On my regular Sunday morning trawl of the interwebs, I discovered this delightful short film, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. The film, inspired in equal parts by “Hurricane Katrina, Buster Keaton, The Wizard of Oz, and a love for books” was awarded an Oscar last year for best short animated film. This is dialogue free story telling at its very best… so settle in, let your spirit free and experience the healing power of the book, with Mr. Morris Lessmore.

And last night, I experienced the live force of Bon Iver. I am still a little dumbstruck by their brilliance… so instead of waffling on and telling you how magnificent they were, here’s a link to listen to a concert recorded  late last year in Washington DC. I am already on my third listen for the morning…

And if that is not enough to satiate you, then this is an absolute must watch. Justin Vernon & Sean Carey of Bon Iver, stripped back and intimate in Air Studios.

Happy Sunday to you!
