Arts Queensland Val Vallis Award for Unpublished Poetry
This prestigious prize is committed to encouraging emerging poets throughout Australia. Entrants may submit up to three poems per entry, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate entry form and a separate entry fee. 1st prize is $1,000 plus one week fully paid at Varuna Writers House; 2nd prize is $500; 3rd prize is $250. Reason-Brisbane Poetry Prize
This is the competition’s seventh year and in 2010 it is open to budding and established writers across Australia. Open theme. Prizes: 1st $1500, 2nd $500, 3rd $300.
