Traveling West

I am just back from a trip out to Roma and feeling in love all over again with the wide open landscapes of Western QLD. I had the great privilege of meeting with many local writers and will be blogging about my experience on the Arts QLD site in the next few days. I will let you know when the post goes live, so you can click on over to join the discussion about writing in this great state of ours.

  1. I really like this. The sorghum and open spaces remind me of Oklahoma, but then, I find that my home state has a lot in common with your own! Glad it was a good trip.

  2. Also enjoyed the imagery in poem…one gets a sense of the vista.

  3. We have come
    as far as words
will take us…and they take us far… great to hear you had a good time and looking forward to reading about the stories you have to tell..

  4. “spangling into bells of light” – lovely image. Travel does wonders for the mind and creativity πŸ™‚
