If you are not one of the lucky ones who has a copy of Issue #1 of PAN Magazine, then you may have to wait until one pops up on e-bay, as the issue was so successful that it sold out two print runs. Not bad for a completely independent magazine!
To keep PAN completely independent and publishing the best in poetry, fiction, art, music, design and photography, here’s how you can help… Crowd Funding. PAN have set their sites on raising $2350 to print Issue #2, by reaching out to its potential readers. Making a pledge is simple… for just $15, you will receive a copy of the issue when it is released, for $25 you will receive a copy of the issue and a PAN tote bag and for $50 you receive issue #2, a PAN tote bag and a shout out in the magazine.
What I can tell you is that I will be one of the poetry features and I am incredibly excited about sharing the same pages as the other poetry feature… who I can say, will be in Australia this August as a guest of QLD Poetry Festival 2011.
Please help spread the word wide and far… the pool of arts funding is slowly drying in this country, so more than ever, we need more magazines willing to go it independently. I am putting my money where my mouth is… Go PAN!
